Hillary A. Smith

ECE Educator

Hillary is an Early Childhood Educator with more than 20 years of experience working with children in preschool, out-of-school care, and other child-focused settings.

Her goal is to create a welcoming environment where children feel safe, respected, and excited to learn. She believes that meaningful relationships are the foundation of learning and strives to support each child’s individual interests, strengths, and development through engaging, hands-on experiences.

Hillary encourages creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and problem-solving while helping children build confidence and independence. She also values strong partnerships with families and believes that open communication helps create the best possible experience for every child.

Hillary is excited to join the KEY team and looks forward to helping children develop the skills they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Education and Credentials:

Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, The University of Western Ontario 
British Columbia Certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) 
Current First Aid and CPR Certification 
Ongoing professional development in Early Childhood Education 
Attended York House School and an alumna of Crofton House School
