Brandy Lien Worrall

Writing Coach

Brandy Liên Worrall brings 30 years of expertise as a creative writing educator, editor, and workshop creator, with a career firmly rooted in helping students discover their own voices. She has taught and advised students from middle school through university to graduate school, guiding countless through memoirs, reflective writing, and university application essays that are genuine, thoughtful, and well structured. 

Brandy works closely with students and parents first with active listening, then by helping students uncover meaningful stories, thinking strategically about their experiences, and revising with clear, supportive feedback, building confidence. 

In the classroom and in one-on-one coaching, Brandy lives KEY’s core values by encouraging creativity and curiosity, strengthening critical and strategic thinking, and creating a collaborative, respectful learning environment where character matters. Brandy believes authentic writing is not about perfection, but about honesty and growth, and is passionate about nurturing students into confident communicators who will express their goals and achieve their dreams.

Taught writing and literature from middle school to university, including programs at Vancouver Public Library and UCLA
Over 20 years of experience as an editor and publisher, developing curricula, mentoring writers, and supporting manuscript publication
Owner/editor of a small press, publishing creative works and organizing author events
